Candlestick figures are carved from a piece of wood that has been rounded and tapered to resemble a point bullet. At that point, I begin carving the figure. Candlestick figures can be tall and skinny or short and fat. There is no pattern. I make up the figure as I go along, adding details as I think of them. Some figures may be very much a like but no two are identical.
